报告内容简介:

Due to the diffraction limit, the opticalresolution of a far field light is less than a half of its wavelength, whichmakes it virtually impossible to “see” subject at the nanoscale. The use of a metallic nanocavity cangenerate spatially highly confined plasmon with intense field of broad energydistribution. It can break the diffraction limit to visualize a single moleculein real space[1]. The use of nanocavity plasmon (NCP) has also led to thediscoveries of plasmonic enhanced stimulating emission[2a], coherent energytransfer[2b], and plasmon induced nonlinear electron scattering[2c]. A newtheory that describes the interaction between the nanosized light and themolecule has been fully developed [3].
